Who We Are

After years of teaching experience, Jon Nelson noticed the blind spots of traditional music education. Students with years of lessons couldn’t play by ear, be in a band, or enjoy their pieces. Insight Music School was founded to address these issues and teach students to love music. Each of Insight’s 10 teachers bring their professional experience to create engaging lessons.

Insight Music School puts on two recitals a year accompanied by a full band. Students will have the option to bring their favorite songs to life and learn to play with a band. Students are still encouraged to learn classical pieces and can play those at the recitals as well.
